Product Overview

THC Buffered Coco Pro Chips is a 100% natural growing medium with exceptional water absorption and distribution capabilities. The addition of RHP Husk Chips increases air porosity. With virtually no degradation, THC Coco Pro Chips is more stable than any other organic substrate. It retains good drainage due to its balanced ratio of coco dust, husk, fiber, and chips, promoting rapid root development and vigorous growth with superior nutrient delivery.

THC Coco Pro Chips is a buffered organic growing medium free from harmful pests or soil diseases, featuring an optimum air-water system and containing Trichoderma for rapid plant development and cultivation initiation. Its optimal properties provide significant advantages for both growers and plants, making it suitable for vegetables, fruit-bearing plants, flowering plants, and more. Additionally, THC Coco Pro Chips can be used as a soil improver.

Buffered Coco

To produce the “Growing Benchmark™”, the RHP certified natural organic substrate process begins in India with the selection of the finest coconuts for coco coir and coco peat. The husks are separated, sieved, aged, and washed to remove water-soluble salts. However, even the best coconut husks contain elements like Potassium (K), Sodium (Na), and Chloride (Cl) that inhibit plant growth when they come into contact with fertilizer. If left untreated, these salts can lead to nutrient lockout, resulting in Calcium (Ca) and Magnesium (Mg) deficiencies and potential root burn.

THC Coco Pro Chips is buffered and pre-treated with Calcium Nitrate (Ca[NO3]2) and Magnesium Sulphate (MgSO4) to remove salts from the coco cells, ensuring a safe growing medium optimized for rapid growth and root development. THC Coco Pro Chips bears the quality mark of the Dutch inspection organization RHP, confirming that it meets stringent quality requirements.

Husk Chips

Husk Chips are derived from the rough exterior shells of the coconut and are primarily used to create enriched potting mixes. They provide effective ground cover for flower beds around plants. Composed mainly of Lignin rather than Cellulose, Husk Chips resist wood-rot bacterial action and have long-lasting physical properties. Their natural high Lignin content encourages beneficial bacteria development in the root zone, promoting disease resistance and beneficial flora.

Husk Chips also interact with nutrients, holding onto Calcium (Ca) and Magnesium (Mg) while slowly releasing Potassium (K) and Nitrogen (N), making them excellent for enriching growing mediums.

Chips 60/40 Coco

Extensive research has shown that the ideal ratio for optimum water capacity to air ratio and capillary action is 60/40 (chips/coco). This blend delivers increased drainage and air porosity for maximum oxygen and nutrient delivery. THC Coco Pro Chips 60/40 is ideal for oxygen-hungry rooted plants or where increased drainage is required, such as orchids.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place above 4°C.

Usage
Loosen THC Coco Pro Chips before filling pots. Fill pots airily, then add water with a pH of 6.0 until some drainage occurs.

Watering
For best results, use THC Coco A+B or other certified coco-specific base nutrients.

Manual: Water daily with half-strength specific coco fertilizer or alternate between full-strength fertilizer and water only.
Automatic: Water 2-4 times a day with coco-specific fertilizer, achieving 30% runoff.
